| News from the community |
This year we have been out and about talking to people ad going to meetings about making things better and fairer for women with learning difficulties. It is important that we go because we feel that women face further discrimination. We went to the Living Forum Group, Health Task Group, People First Conference at City Hall regarding the Equality Bill, and Campaigned during Learning Disability Week.
Members are also busy making sure that people who work for the NHS, Greater London Authority and more hear our voice. |
Meet the members |
Members of the Powerhouse all come from different cultures, backgrounds and ages and yet we are all friends. We have the two Theresa’s who love Reggae, Kim who loves sport, Gusharen who is has a brilliant laugh. We will be using this section for you to meet our fabulous members!
